Today I am sharing my weekend wanderings with you.  I decided to explore the Washington Park Arboretum on Saturday and was delighted by the beauty of it all…

Street Sign Vocabulary   2 comments

The state of Washington has some pretty funny street signs.  I saw this one on Saturday.  How are your vocabulary skills?

Bellevue Downtown Park   3 comments

While waiting for my glasses to have the lenses changed, I decided to check out the Bellevue Downtown Park.  What a great park right in the middle of downtown Bellevue, Washington.  It is such a peaceful place in the middle of very busy metropolitan city.  Here are some shots from exploring the park today…

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!

ABC Wednesday – Z   12 comments

Z is for… Zoology: the animal life of a particular region

Okay, I know I am pushing it with this one this week!

These are the animals I encountered this weekend around my home (region) in Washington: Top row: blue heron, butterfly and turtle.  Second row: bird of some sort,  duck, and robin with a blueberry in his beak.  Third Row: raccoons in my backyard, dragonfly and a shy puppy (Lulu) who refused to look at my camera!

I am so looking forward to the next round of ABC Wednesday!

Now head on over to Mrs. Nesbitt’s for more ABC Wednesday!

Sunday in the Northwest   7 comments

Spent Sunday afternoon with my sister Ellen and two nieces, Katie and Laura – Boy did we have a fun afternoon! We went to a Catholic Cemetery, the Queen Mary Tearoom and then the Seattle Japanese Garden! My kind of day.

Here is a quick photo highlight. I am sure my sister Ellen will get into more detail soon. I have to catch a plane…
