Praying for My Husband Monday   3 comments

This week’s prayer will focus on money since tomorrow is tax day!

Father God, I pray that you would give my husband wisdom in the area of our finances.  Lord, I pray that we would be good stewards of what you have provided and that you would continue to provide for our daily needs.

Lord, I pray that we would not fall needlessly into debt and that we would make wise spending decisions.  Lord, I pray that you would show me ways to increase our finances and not decrease them unwisely.  Lord, all we have is yours and may we be grateful for what you have allowed us to have and enjoy.

Lord, I pray that my husband would be a cheerful giver and that you would bless the money we give to your work so that it would be used for your glory and honor.  May we be able to provide for those in need as you see fit.

Lord protect my husband’s work and pay check.  Lord, I pray that our savings and investments would not be wasted or destroyed.  Give us guidance and discernment in the investment and savings choices we make Lord.

Lord I pray that we would continually seek your kingdom first knowing that as we do this, you will provide all we need.  Lord, help us not to be anxious about our finances, but give us peace and wisdom as we continue to seek your will for our finances.

Lord, where we have not been wise or have made wrong decisions regarding our finances, I pray that you would guide us in the path of restoration and renewal.

Lord, protect us as we discuss our finances as this seems to be a war zone in many marriages.  Lord, may we continue to strive for agreement as we bring our finances to you, our money manager, for wisdom and guidance.

Lord, be glorified in our work, finances and lives this week.  In your holy name I pray, AMEN!

And now a verse regarding finances for the week:

Don’t keep striving for what you should eat and what you should drink, and don’t be anxious. For the Gentile world eagerly seeks all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek His kingdom, and these things will be provided for you.
