Wildflowers in Winter – Week 8   11 comments

Week 8 – March 5 – 12. The First Wildflower of Spring photo challenge.

Be searching for wildflowers in your area. Try to find the first one blooming and post a photo of it on your blog.

We just returned from our vacation in Hawaii and I went outside to see what if anything in our yard had started blooming.  I was surprised and pleased to find these blooms:

  1. Ok the second one I recognize. Do you know what the first one is. Love the shot of the daffodil with the sky and tree in the background. Gorgeous…

  2. Beautiful! I love those spring bulb flowers. I think God made them extra big and cheery just because winter has been so long.

  3. Loved the ‘G’ pictures but there is something special about the first flowers. Bless their little hearts.

  4. Oh beautiful! The first one is a crocus (I have a few in my lawn, but not until April at least). What fun to be seeing these blossoms already.

  5. What a cheery welcome home. These spring flowers sure are good at lifting the spirits. So glad you had such a nice time in Hawaii. Your pictures were so nice.

  6. Well, not the same as Hawaii but you do have color starting up in the Pacific Northwest! Beautiful photos by the way.

  7. I have heather blooming in my yard…and some Jerusalem Lillies getting ready to burst, too.

  8. I can’t wait for some spring flowers to show up here in Bend. But still too cold for that.
I bet you hated coming home from your vacation

  9. Beautiful splashes of spring yellow! Lucky you — it’s going to be a challenge to find anything growing in the wild here in Nova Scotia! But, the hunt is half the fun!

  11. Ohmygoodness! I might think it’s not fair that “everyone else” is having Spring. But, I don’t think that’s an accurate assessment. ha. Beautiful surprises! 🙂
