Going Home   4 comments

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.
Psalm 116:15

Going Home

Going home, going home
I’m just going home
Quiet light, some still day
I’m just going home

It’s not far, just close by
Through an open door
Work all done, care laid by
Going to fear no more

Mother’s there expecting me
Father’s waiting, too
Lots of faces gathered there
All the friends I knew

I’m just going home

Nothing’s lost, all’s gain
No more fret nor pain
No more stumbling by the way
No more longing for the day
Going to roam no more

Morning Star lights the way
Restless dreams are gone
Shadows gone, break of day
Real life has begun

There’s no break, there’s no end
Just living on
Wide awake with a smile
Going on and on

Going home, going home
I am  going home
Shadows gone, break of day
Real life has begun I am going home

I’m just going home

My precious cousin Vera passed away this last week.  We grieve yet we have hope! We will see her when we too go through the open door and meet her there!  She is with her Morning Star – singing in His courts songs of praise and worship to her Savior!

  2. 😦

  3. What a wonderful song for a wonderful lady.

  4. So sorry for your loss, but how wonderful for those who believe to have that kind of hope! We can actually find a way to rejoice in the midst of grief.
