Have you ever wondered why there are holes in your measuring cup handles?

I think I figured out the reason…

Use the holes to secure the measuring cups inside your dishwasher and you won’t have measuring cups

doing the flip and filling up with water or ending up on the opposite side of where you put them!

Clean measuring cups that stay put through a dishwashing cycle – definitely Works For Me!

  1. Great tip my dear. And you have the cleanest dishwasher I’ve ever seen 🙂

  2. Great tip…it’s a bummer having to dig the measuring cups out of the bottom of the dishwasher!

  3. Oh! I do that too! Awesome tip. I hate it when stuff gets turned over in the dishywashy and fills with dirty water.

  4. I’ve always done this too 🙂

  5. I’ll admit it: I never even thought about trying that. What a great idea, and you’re so observant. I’m definitely having a “Why didn’t I think of that?” moment right now.

  6. 🙂 ,,,then I’m thinkin’, I don’t have holes in my handles – but I always secure those little flippers with something heavy on their handles.

  7. That’s a great tip. I usually just wash them by hand.

    Thanks for sharing!

  8. Hee! I do the same thing! I am extremely intent on finding ways to stick things in the dishwasher. =)

  9. I have some green ones like that, and they came with a little rack to put inside a cabinet door to hang the cups from. I loved that — so much easier than picking up the stack to get the one out of the middle that you need. But the holes do double duty in securing the cups in the dishwasher — great feature, as without it mine end upside down.

    You take great pictures!
