Oh for the Love of Reading   2 comments

Illustration of girl reading, by Jessie Willcox Smith

Oh for the love of reading!

‘My study throngs with characters waiting to be written (or read).  Imaginary people, anxious for a life, who tug at my sleeve, crying, “Me next! Go on! My Turn!” I have to select.  And once I have chosen, the others lie quiet … until I come to the end of the story, and the clamour starts up again.”

The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield.

My book order came in today!  I have most of my books now for the Spring Reading Challenge.  I just love seeing that Amazon box in the mail.  Now, I’m off to a quiet place to read…

  1. LOVE this Thirteenth Tale…

  2. The book was really good. I enjoyed it – the whole twin thing. Go figure!
