Italy   4 comments

Steve and I will be leaving for Europe on Monday.  We are going with a tour group hosted by Steve’s dad called History on the Move.  The tour will be focused on “A History of Christianity Through the Lands of Judaism, Christianity and Islam”.  The tour starts in Israel, visits Palestine and then finishes in Italy.  We are joining the group in Italy on Wednesday.

We will be flying to London on Monday arriving on Tuesday.  While in London, we will be having afternoon tea at Claridge’s, touring as much as we can in a day and spending the night. Wednesday we will fly to Rome.  While in Rome,  some of the sites we will be visiting are the Roman Forum, The Arch of Titus, The Arch of Constantine, The Coliseum, Moses by Michaelangelo, a synagogue in the Jewish Ghetto and the Catacombs.  We will also be touring the Vatican and the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica.

Then, we are off to Florence to tour the Academia with the David, the Baptistry with the doors of paradise, the Duoma, the Piazza Signoria with the Old Palace and the Holy Cross Church.  Then back to Rome and home on April 3rd.  A fascinating trip it will be and I will try to post as much as possible while in Europe.

The History on the Move website will also have posts of the journey under the “Follow Us On The Web” link.

Ciao for Now!
